Katrina Spooner, MHSA
Chief Administrative Officer, DDP
Katrina is the Chief Administrative Officer which involves overseeing the day to day operations of the agency. She came to The Arc in 2015 from Orlando, Florida, where she served Veterans and elders nationwide for over eight years as a Veterans Affairs Accredited Claims Agent. She is a Health Risk Manager, Care Manager, and a graduate of University of Central Florida with a Master's Degree in Health Services Administration. She is a member of the 2017 Leadership Macon Class, a Board Member for Career Women's Network of Macon and is also a member of The Junior League Macon. She enjoys spending her free time painting and hiking.
Katrina's passion for her advocacy work grew out of personal experience. As the granddaughter of a Director Emeritus for The Arc Baltimore, Katrina has always appreciated advocacy work for those in need. She is very excited to be a member of The Arc Macon on their continual journey toward turning developmental disabilities into possibilities.
Andy Harrel, LCSW
Andy has lived his entire life in the Middle Georgia area and graduated from Mercer University in 1994 with a BA degree in Sociology and Christianity. He attended Valdosta State University and graduated with a Master’s degree in Social Work in 2002. He is a state Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. He enjoys participating in sporting activities and spending time with his wife and children.
At The Arc Macon, Andy serves as a consultant to the agency. Andy is the immediate past Chief Administrative Officer and has served in multiple positions since joining the agency in 1995. He was the honored recipient of the Employee of the Year in 2006.
Chief Financial Officer
Jennifer directs The Arc Macon Finance Team, following the direction set by the CAO. Jennifer holds a Bachelor's of Business Administration from Shorter University. She is a U.S. Army Veteran and has worked in the field of Finance and Accounting for almost 20 years.
Jennifer, along with her husband and two children, relocated to the Macon Area from Atlanta. Jennifer joined The Arc Macon in April 2017.
Human Resources Director
Barbara is a Macon native now residing in Monroe County with her husband and daughter. She retired from Sysco Atlanta in 2011 after 25 years. Barbara enjoys spending time with her family, reading, arts & crafts, football, and Mexican food.
Barbara is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources. Barbara joined The Arc Macon in August 2011.
Rick Strickland, MSA
Clinical Director, DDP
Rick holds a B.A. in Psychology and a M.S.A. in Human Service Administration. Rick has a wealth of experience in the IDD field, holding many positions as a Behavior Specialist and Human Service Professional.
As the Clinical Director and DDP, Rick oversees both Day Support Programs in Macon and Cochran, Case Management, and Quality Improvement and Risk Management Departments. He works closely with all Department leads to ensure best practices and improve team coordination.
Alleyne Benson, MSCC
Alleyne is an original Maconite. She is happily married for almost 30 years with three teenage sons. She now lives on a farm in Monroe County. Her passions include helping people, organic gardening, and caring for her two horses and her family.
Alleyne holds a Master’s degree from Georgia State in Community Counseling. She previously worked in the Social Work field with DFACS and UCP (United Cerebral Palsy of Macon and Middle Georgia). Alleyne is the Executive Assistant at The Arc Macon and is responsible for all front desk and clerical tasks. She joined The Arc Macon in 2018.
Nancy was born in Macon and raised in Pinellas Park, FL. She enjoys visiting her family and taking road trips with her beloved husband, Anthon. Nancy and Anthon have been married more than 20 years, have four children, and five grandchildren. Nancy loves the outdoors, so you will often find her perfecting her garden and enjoying the pool in her free time.
Nancy started with The Arc as a part-time staff in 1985 and worked her way up to management in the home. She has worked in many positions here at The Arc Macon. She briefly left to pursue an entrepreneurial venture, but came back to The Arc to continue with her passion for the individuals we serve.
Director, Bleckley County Services
Eileen was born in Savannah, Ga. She has lived most of her adult life in Macon with her daughter, Keiawana. She graduated from Northeast High School and furthered her education at Central Georgia Technical College. Eileen is a member of St. Mark Baptist Church where she is an active member of the choir.
Eileen began her employment with The Arc Macon in 1986. She has worked in many capacities over the years as a dedicated employee. The latest is serving as Director for The Arc in Cochran. Eileen was awarded employee of the year in 2007. She is also the instructor for the Defensive Driving, CPR, and First Aid classes. She is a graduate of the Direct Support Professional Program and enjoys fishing, traveling, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
